A four-day retreat surrounded by water, wild Cornish landscapes and beautiful open space.
A chance to step away from the everyday, breathe deeply, move your body, explore the coast, swim in the sea, eat beautifully, rest deeply and reconnect with yourself.
Salt & Soul is about getting outside, getting a little wild and giving yourself space to simply be.
Friday 1st – Monday 4th October 2027
Erth Retreat, Cornwall

I've always loved creating retreats abroad, but I wanted to create something special here in the UK too — a retreat that feels like a real escape without needing to get on a plane.
And then I discovered Erth.
I first came here in March 2025 for a retreat for retreat leaders. It was a very different kind of retreat, but I completely fell in love with the place.
I returned in August 2026, this time as a guest on a retreat, and that's when I really understood just how special Erth is.
I stayed in one of the shepherd's huts and adored it. Being on this beautiful peninsula, surrounded by water, nature and incredible views, made me feel truly alive, enriched, renewed and refreshed.
Even after coming home, I could still feel the benefits of the experience.
So I knew I wanted to bring my own retreat here.
Salt & Soul is my invitation for you to experience some of that magic for yourself.

There is something magical about being near water.
At Erth, you are surrounded by it. The River Lynher winds around the peninsula, the landscape changes with the tide and light, and there are views to take in in every direction.
You can walk out onto the peninsula, breathe in the fresh air, listen to the water, watch the wildlife and simply soak it all up.
And then there is the wild Cornish coast beyond Erth — waiting to be explored.
Salt & Soul brings together the things I believe help us to feel well and live well for longer:
Movement. Nature. Nourishment. Rest. Connection. Adventure.

Movement throughout the retreat will be led by me, Claire, with a focus on the things our bodies and minds need to thrive as we get older.
We'll move for:
Heart health
Brain health
Muscle strength
Mobility & balance
Breath & relaxation
Expect a lovely mix of Pilates, bodyweight strength, walking, breathwork and restorative movement — alongside getting outside and exploring.
Nothing is compulsory. You can choose how much you take part in, depending on what feels right for you.

Salt & Soul isn't about sitting inside a retreat centre all weekend.
We'll get out there and experience Cornwall.
There will be a guided walk around the Erth peninsula, a longer adventure along the Salt Path, including the opportunity for a sea swim, and an afternoon exploring Dartmoor.
The walks take us over some uneven ground and include hills, with no climbing involved. They are a chance to properly explore, so you'll need to be comfortable walking for a few hours and on varied outdoor terrain.
Good walking shoes or trainers are essential.
And don't worry — there will be plenty of time to rest afterwards!

If you've ever wanted to try wild swimming, this could be your chance.
We'll have the opportunity to swim from Erth's peninsula, with a guided swim led by Claire. The water is in a calmer area with a gentle tide, but it is still the sea, so you will need to be a confident and comfortable sea swimmer.
There will also be an opportunity to swim during the Salt Path walk.
Don't fancy getting in? That's absolutely fine.
Wild swimming is completely optional. You can enjoy being beside the water, take in the scenery and cheer everyone else on from dry land!

For every adventure, there is time to simply stop.
Enjoy the sauna, book a massage, curl up with your book, wander around Erth, chat with new friends or find a quiet spot and do absolutely nothing.
There is no pressure to fill every moment.
Sometimes the best part of a retreat is having nowhere else you need to be.
The sauna is included throughout your stay.
There will also be a limited number of one-hour massage appointments, available to pre-book before the retreat.
Massage: £70 per hour

Erth is one of those places that really needs to be experienced.
The historic house sits high on its own private peninsula, surrounded by the River Lynher and beautiful countryside. Erth describes itself as a place to live simply and wildly, immersed in the natural landscape — and that really captures the feeling of being here.
The 16th-century house was once a monastery and has its own stunning 12th-century chapel, where we'll hold some of our movement and relaxation sessions.
Imagine Pilates, breathwork or a sound bath in this extraordinary historic space.
There is also a beautiful covered barn where we'll eat, gather and connect, alongside the house, meadow accommodation and plenty of outdoor space to explore.
This isn't just somewhere to stay. The place itself is part of the retreat.

There are several accommodation options at Erth, from beautifully appointed rooms in the historic house to shepherd's huts and an off-grid cabin in the meadow.
All accommodation options have their own character, and all give you the opportunity to wake up surrounded by the beautiful Erth landscape.

Erth is tucked away on its own peninsula, but it's surprisingly easy to reach.
It's just over the Devon/Cornwall border by road and only a short journey from Saltash railway station. Erth itself describes the location as remote yet accessible, with direct rail links from London and elsewhere.
By train
Travel to Saltash station and we'll collect you from the station and bring you back for your journey home.
If you'd like to travel with others, we can help coordinate guests travelling from similar areas where possible.
By car
Drive directly to Erth and park on site.
All you need to do is get yourself to Saltash — we'll take care of the rest.
Come prepared for a weekend that takes you outdoors.
Cornish weather can be wonderfully unpredictable, so come prepared for a little bit of everything!
Salt & Soul is for anyone who wants to escape, breathe, explore and feel alive.
It's for those who enjoy being outdoors and want to experience Cornwall rather than simply look at it.
You don't need to take part in every activity, and all sessions are optional. But our longer walks involve several hours outdoors on uneven and sometimes hilly terrain, so you'll need to be comfortable walking for a good distance.
If you love the idea of wild swimming, coastal walks, Pilates, beautiful food, nature, relaxation and a little adventure, you might have just found your perfect long weekend.
You can come on your own, with a friend or with a group.
